
MAKEOVER LOFT’S COVID-19 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
In lieu of the Covid-19 outbreak, Makeover Loft regards health and safety as our highest priority.
We have hereby taken extra safety measures for everyone in accordance and guidance of our government’s SOP and WHO as outlined below, in this dire period of the coronavirus.
PRE-APPOINTMENT - PRELIMINARY CHECKS
We require the following details & self-declarations upon confirmation of all appointments for both clients and make-up artists as well as for contact tracing shall the need arise.

DAY OF APPOINTMENT
OUR PROFESSIONAL MAKE-UP ARTISTS

Re-check your temperature on appointment day

Ensure that you do not feel unwell. If you do feel unwell or any sudden shortness of breath do notify us immediately and we will reschedule another professional asap.

Check that all tools, gears and bags have been properly cleaned, washed and sanitized in compliance with Makeover Loft’s safety measures
CLIENTS

Please ensure that your information that you have provided is correct and accurate

Do re-check your temperature prior to appointment

If you do suddenly feel unwell or any sudden shortness of breath do notify us as early as possible before the appointment

Do ensure that the area allocated for the makeover to take place is clean and sanitary for both you and our professional to work comfortably

Before our professionals commence work, do ensure that our canvas (yes,your face!) is freshly cleaned and moisturized
-
Hair should be freshly washed and have ample time to be fully dried before appointment starts.
DURING THE APPOINTMENT – OUR ASSURANCE
OUR PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTISTS

All our MUA’s shall be in masks covering from nose to chin before entering your premise

Additional clear face shield to be worn over the mask

To request to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds or more immediately after set-up of makeup/hair station.

Disposable surgical gloves to be used and discarded after each client

All on the spot re-sanitization of tools and makeup products shall be 70% isopropyl alcohol only as specified by the CDC (e.g.- 99% and above is ineffective at killing bacteria)

During home/location visits, makeup artist shall observe protective self-separation and avoid or stay at least 2 meters away from clients family member/friend’s..etc.
BRUSHES /TOOLS– HYGIENE ME!

All brushes and tools are washed, cleaned & disinfected meeting the safety requirement standards in between all clients and all appointments

Pre-cleaned bristle brushes used shall be sprayed with 75% isopropyl alcohol before usage on clients
MAKEUP PENCILS- TAKING NO CHANCES!

Sharpened on the spot with sanitized sharpener to remove external layers that may have been exposed to unwanted bacteria and viruses.

Sprayed again with sanitizer before usage
MASCARAS – HAIL OUR DISPOSABLES!!

Disposable mascara wands to be used and disposed in replacement of original wands to ensure there is no cross contamination of bacteria. Absolutely no double dipping unless with new disposable applicators only.
SPONGES
-
If the need of sponges is to be used, they shall be disposable non-latex types only. Discarded immediately after use.
POWDERS & PALLETTES

All powders/ palettes’to be sprayed with 70% isopropyl alcohol just prior to using
LIPSTICKS/GLOSSES
-
To optimize hygiene, tube, liquid & gloss lipsticks shall be scraped from product with a sanitized tool and applied with disposable applicators only

New disposables to be used for any re-dippings
LINERS
-
Our makeup-artists will be advised to use gel-liners from pots (which can be scraped out with a sanitized tool) to avoid cross contamination

Pencils and shadows will also be utilized creatively to mimic liners
-
Felt tip liners will not be allowed. Feel free to give our makeup artist your own if you love the look or if you feel insistent to use felt tip pens only.
FALSE EYELASHES/ EYELASH GLUE

Only brand new disposable lashes to be used on each client.

Lash glue to be applied from palettes and not direct from tube to avoid any cross contamination of bacteria
